App Terms of Use

Dernière mise à jour: 20 September 2026

1. Scope and Acceptance

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the FindMyTraveler mobile application, including its accounts, social features, travel-planning tools, maps, messaging, location features and other functionality made available through the App.

By creating a FindMyTraveler account or using the App, you agree to these Terms.

These Terms apply specifically to the FindMyTraveler mobile application. Separate terms may apply to the FindMyTraveler website, waitlist and other web-based services.

If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not create an account or continue using the App.

2. Provider

FindMyTraveler is currently provided by:

Cristina Marta In der Müseren 6 8118 Pfaffhausen Switzerland

Email: contact@findmytraveler.com

References in these Terms to “FindMyTraveler”, “we”, “us” or “our” refer to the provider of the FindMyTraveler service.

3. Eligibility

You may use FindMyTraveler only if you are legally permitted to enter into these Terms under the laws applicable to you.

If you are a minor, you may use FindMyTraveler only where permitted by applicable law and, where legally required, with the consent or involvement of a parent or legal guardian.

You must not use the App if applicable law prohibits you from doing so.

4. FindMyTraveler Accounts

Certain features require a FindMyTraveler account.

You are responsible for providing accurate account information and for keeping your account and login credentials secure.

You must not:

  • impersonate another person;
  • create an account using information you are not authorised to use;
  • give another person unauthorised access to your account;
  • use accounts to circumvent restrictions, moderation measures or security controls.

You are responsible for activity carried out through your account unless the activity results from circumstances for which you are not legally responsible.

If you believe your account has been compromised, please contact us promptly.

5. Early Access and Beta Status

FindMyTraveler is currently under active development and may be provided as an early-access or beta service.

Beta features may be incomplete, experimental or subject to change.

During the beta period, we may:

change, add or remove features; modify interfaces or technical systems; change how information is stored or displayed; temporarily disable functionality; carry out maintenance or migrations; and limit access to particular features or groups of testers.

We do not guarantee that any beta feature will remain available or be included in a future public version of FindMyTraveler.

You should not rely on the beta version as the sole storage location for information that is critical to you.

6. Personal and Permitted Use

FindMyTraveler is intended to help users collect travel inspiration, plan trips, record travel experiences, communicate with other travellers and share travel-related content.

Unless expressly permitted by us, your right to use FindMyTraveler is personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable and non-commercial.

You may not reproduce, resell, commercially exploit or provide access to FindMyTraveler as your own service without our prior written permission.

7. User Content

FindMyTraveler allows users to create, upload, save, send and publish content such as photos, videos, Live Moments, Posts, Trip Updates, travel memories, comments, messages, routes, locations, Trip Lab ideas and other information (“User Content”).

You retain ownership of the User Content you create.

By uploading, storing or publishing User Content through FindMyTraveler, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide and royalty-free licence to host, store, process, reproduce, technically adapt, transmit and display that content to the extent necessary to provide, secure and operate FindMyTraveler.

For content you intentionally make available to other users, this licence also includes displaying and distributing that content within the features and visibility settings you have chosen.

This licence does not transfer ownership of your content to us.

The licence normally ends when the relevant content is deleted or your account is deleted, subject to reasonable technical backup periods, legal obligations and circumstances where content forms part of interactions involving other users.

You are responsible for ensuring that you have the rights and permissions necessary to upload or share your User Content.

8. Public and Private Content

FindMyTraveler includes both private and social features.

Depending on the feature and the choices you make, content may be:

private to your account; shared with specific users or conversation participants; shared with followers or other defined groups; or made visible through FindMyTraveler’s social and map-based features.

You are responsible for considering the visibility of information before publishing or sharing it.

In particular, you should take care when sharing information that may reveal your current location, accommodation, travel plans or other sensitive personal circumstances.

9. Messaging and Social Features

FindMyTraveler may provide messaging, commenting, following, reactions, requests and other social functionality.

You must use these features respectfully and lawfully.

You may not use FindMyTraveler to:

harass, threaten or intimidate other people; send spam or unsolicited commercial communications; impersonate another person; unlawfully disclose another person’s personal information; stalk or monitor another person; distribute malicious software or fraudulent links; infringe intellectual-property or privacy rights; or engage in illegal activity.

We may restrict or remove content or accounts where reasonably necessary to protect users, enforce these Terms, comply with legal obligations or protect the security and integrity of FindMyTraveler.

10. Location Features

FindMyTraveler contains features that use, store or display location information.

Location information may come from your device, locations you choose manually, metadata associated with content, or information you deliberately share through social or messaging features.

You remain responsible for deciding when and with whom to share your location.

Location information may be inaccurate, delayed, incomplete or unavailable.

FindMyTraveler must not be used as an emergency location service, personal safety service or substitute for emergency services.

Never rely solely on FindMyTraveler to determine another person’s current location or safety.

11. Travel Information and Planning Tools

FindMyTraveler provides tools for organising travel ideas, destinations, routes, activities, stays, transport and other travel information.

Information, suggestions, routes, locations and travel-related content available through FindMyTraveler may come from users, automated systems or third-party services.

FindMyTraveler is not a travel agency, tour operator, immigration authority, safety authority or professional travel adviser.

Unless expressly stated otherwise, information provided through the App is not a binding travel recommendation or guarantee.

Before travelling, you remain responsible for independently checking information that may affect your journey, including:

entry and visa requirements, travel restrictions, local laws, road and route conditions, weather, transport availability, opening hours, accommodation and booking details, insurance requirements, health requirements and official safety guidance.

Routes, locations or suggestions generated or displayed through FindMyTraveler may contain errors and should not replace appropriate real-world judgement or official information.

12. External Content and Third-Party Services

FindMyTraveler may integrate with or display information from third-party services, maps, websites or platforms.

The App may also allow you to save or share links and travel inspiration from external platforms into features such as Trip Lab.

Third-party services are governed by their own terms, privacy policies and availability.

We do not control and are not responsible for third-party websites, platforms or services merely because they are linked to or accessible through FindMyTraveler.

You are responsible for ensuring that your use of third-party content complies with applicable law and the terms of the relevant third-party service.

Third-party services may change or discontinue functionality without our control.

13. Prohibited Use

You must not misuse FindMyTraveler or interfere with its normal operation.

In particular, you must not attempt to:

gain unauthorised access to accounts, systems or data; bypass authentication, security or access controls; probe or exploit vulnerabilities; introduce viruses, malware or harmful code; scrape or extract data at scale without permission; reverse engineer the service except where expressly permitted by mandatory law; manipulate usage, engagement or social interactions artificially; use FindMyTraveler for fraud or deception; or use the service in a way that violates applicable law or the rights of others.

14. Moderation and Enforcement

We may investigate suspected violations of these Terms.

Where reasonably necessary, we may remove or restrict content, limit particular functionality, temporarily suspend an account or terminate access to FindMyTraveler.

We may take such measures where we reasonably believe they are necessary to:

enforce these Terms; protect users or third parties; protect FindMyTraveler’s systems or security; respond to abuse, fraud or unlawful behaviour; or comply with a legal obligation or lawful authority request.

Where appropriate and legally possible, we may provide information about significant enforcement measures.

Nothing in these Terms requires us to actively monitor every item of User Content.

15. Intellectual Property

FindMyTraveler, including its software, interface, design, branding, logos, graphics and original content provided by us, is protected by intellectual-property laws.

Except for the limited right to use the App under these Terms, no ownership or intellectual-property rights in FindMyTraveler are transferred to you.

FindMyTraveler does not claim ownership of User Content merely because it is uploaded to the service.

Third-party content remains the property of its respective rights holders.

16. Feedback and Suggestions

If you voluntarily provide feedback, ideas, suggestions or feature requests relating to FindMyTraveler, you allow us to use that feedback to evaluate, improve and develop the service.

Unless expressly agreed otherwise in writing, providing feedback does not create a right to compensation, ownership, attribution, participation or implementation.

17. Paid Features

The current early-access beta may make functionality available without charge.

FindMyTraveler may introduce subscriptions, paid features or other commercial services in the future.

If paid functionality is introduced, applicable prices and material purchase conditions will be presented before a purchase is completed.

Additional payment, subscription or platform-specific terms may apply.

Nothing in these Terms requires us to introduce any paid functionality or guarantees that currently available functionality will always remain free.

18. Privacy

Our processing of personal data is described separately in the FindMyTraveler App Privacy Policy.

The Privacy Policy forms an important part of the information provided to you about the operation of FindMyTraveler but does not replace these Terms.

You can access the App Privacy Policy at:

https://findmytraveler.com/en/legal/app-privacy

19. Availability, Maintenance and Changes

We aim to operate FindMyTraveler with reasonable care, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free or permanent availability.

The App may become temporarily unavailable because of maintenance, updates, internet connectivity, infrastructure issues, third-party services or circumstances outside our reasonable control.

We may modify, replace or discontinue functionality where reasonably necessary for product development, security, legal compliance or operation of the service.

20. Account Deletion and Termination

You may stop using FindMyTraveler at any time.

Where available, you may request deletion of your FindMyTraveler account directly through the App.

Account deletion may result in the deletion or anonymisation of information associated with your account, subject to technical retention periods, legal obligations and information that must be retained or handled differently because it forms part of interactions involving other users.

Further information about deletion and data retention is provided in the App Privacy Policy.

Termination of your account does not affect rights or obligations that by their nature are intended to survive termination.

21. Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability

FindMyTraveler is provided with reasonable care.

However, particularly during beta development, we do not guarantee that the service will always be uninterrupted, complete, accurate or free from technical errors.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, loss of profits, loss of opportunities, loss of data or damages resulting solely from reliance on travel information, user-generated content, third-party information or temporary service interruptions.

You remain responsible for your own travel decisions, safety decisions, bookings and interactions with other users.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where such exclusion or limitation is prohibited by mandatory law.

In particular, liability for intentional misconduct, gross negligence and other liability that cannot legally be excluded remains unaffected.

22. App Stores and Distribution Platforms

If you download or access FindMyTraveler through Apple, Google or another distribution platform, additional terms imposed by that platform may apply to your use of the application or your account with that platform.

The relevant app store or distribution platform is not responsible for the operation of FindMyTraveler merely because it distributes the App, except to the extent required under its own applicable terms or law.

23. Changes to These Terms

FindMyTraveler is under active development, and these Terms may need to change as the service develops.

We may update these Terms to reflect changes to functionality, legal requirements, security practices or our business model.

The current version will be published with a revised “Last updated” date.

Where a change materially affects your rights or obligations, we will provide appropriate notice where required.

Where applicable law requires your renewed agreement, we will request it.

24. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by Swiss law, excluding its conflict-of-law rules.

Mandatory statutory protections that apply to you, including mandatory consumer-protection rules, remain unaffected.

To the extent legally permitted, disputes relating to these Terms or FindMyTraveler are subject to the competent courts at the domicile of the provider in Switzerland.

25. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in effect to the extent permitted by law.

The invalid provision will be interpreted or replaced as closely as legally possible in a manner consistent with its intended purpose.
